ENSURE STUDENT SUCCESS

We work with colleges and universities all across the country to offer valuable co-curricular learning opportunities that improve students' academic, personal, and professional success.

Our program provides campus leaders with training in soft skills, including emotional intelligence, critical thinking, communication, interpersonal relationships, and creativity.

There are three courses available for student leaders, with each course consisting of four workshops and 10-12 hours of training. Additionally, you have the option to create a unique course by selecting any number of workshops that we offer.

Participation in our workshops provides student leaders with access to the following benefits:

  • National speakers and trainers with years of professional experience and a proven track record.

  • Free one-on-one coaching sessions with experienced professionals from our team for ongoing support.

  • The possibility of receiving elective credits from their college or university, subject to approval.

COURSE 101 | SERIES DESCRIPTION

This workshop series gives new and emerging student leaders the opportunity to cultivate foundational leadership skills that will make them more effective in leading themselves and others. Each workshop contains elements designed to keep participants engaged and challenged.

  • Foundational Leadership & Personal Growth
    Leadership and personal growth go together. This high-energy workshop gives student leaders the foundational tools they need to lead themselves and others more effectively.

  • Goal Setting & Personal Organization
    Setting goals effectively is a life skill every leader should have. This workshop gives participants effective tools to help them create and accomplish goals that matter.

  • Conflict Management & Critical Conversations
    Navigating conflict is an important skill. This interactive workshop gives student leaders the tools to recognize different types of conflicts, identify why they occur, and learn how to keep them from destroying healthy relationships.

  • Healthy Relationships & Personal Boundaries
    We cannot give away what we do not have. This workshop is an honest conversation about relationships, health, self-worth, and creating healthy physical, mental and emotional boundaries.

COURSE 201 | SERIES DESCRIPTION

This workshop series gives growing student leaders the opportunity to develop soft skills that focus on self-awareness, critical thinking, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Each workshop contains elements designed to keep participants engaged and challenged

  • Communication & Workplace Management
    Learning to communicate as a professional is non-negotiable. Effective communication is one of the highest-ranked soft skills employers expect their team members to possess. This workshop shows participants how to level up their communication skills in professional and paraprofessional environments.

  • Personal Values & Social Responsibility
    Identifying our values is an essential step to effective leadership. Participants will engage in a conversation designed to help them identify their values and examine how those values can create positive changes in their community.

  • Managing Anxiety & Burnout
    Burnout is real. Stress, anxiety, and a breach of boundaries are often the culprits. But establishing professional boundaries and managing stress can be a challenge for new and ambitious leaders. This workshop equips participants with practical tools to help them stay fresh.

  • Overcoming Obstacles on the Way to Success
    This workshop shows participants how to harness the power of failure and turn it into success. During this fun and interactive experience, participants will engage in critical-thinking exercises designed to spark creativity and develop personal resilience.

COURSE 301 | SERIES DESCRIPTION

This workshop series gives experienced student leaders and new professionals the opportunity to learn practical skills that will help them start and sustain successful careers, enhance their value in the marketplace and increase their overall effectiveness. Each workshop contains elements designed to keep participants engaged and challenged.

  • Starting and Sustaining New Careers
    Becoming a successful professional in any field requires intentionality. This workshop will prepare students for the rigor of the real world. Participants will engage in a fun and interactive experience that will show them how to start and sustain careers that add value to their organizations.

  • Entrepreneurship
    Starting a business can provide a rewarding career. But even if you decide to work for another organization, the skills you learn along the way to developing an enterprise of your own are invaluable. This workshop explores the foundational skills every new entrepreneur or employee with an entrepreneurial spirit needs to succeed at a high level.

  • Developing Cultural Competence
    Working cross-culturally is a must in today’s world. This workshop provides a framework for working efficiently in various cultural contexts. This learning experience will engage student leaders in cultural competence on a personal and professional level.

  • Time Management
    We are equipping new professionals with the tools to move their ideas forward. Participants will learn the three most important factors (Organization, Leadership Capacity, and the Power of Community) necessary to conquer the daily grind and get things done.

 
 

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Sharlene is a keynote speaker, spoken word poet, recording artist, and social entrepreneur from Brooklyn, New York. She’s also the founder and CEO of WRITE. SPEAK. INSPIRE.™. She has a professional background in youth development, leadership team development, soft skills training, curriculum design, program management, and entrepreneurship. She is also a fierce youth and family advocate.

For nearly two decades, Sharlene has been inspiring audiences with her story. She has led workshops, delivered keynotes, and shared her most vulnerable moments through spoken word performances with tens of thousands of people. She’s passionate about sharing her lived experiences through her work as an artist and speaker.

Sharlene has a bachelor of science degree in sociology with a concentration in marriage and family counseling from East Carolina University. Sharlene is also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. During her time as an undergraduate student; she held multiple leadership roles. Sharlene was president of her sorority and served in other executive-level positions in various organizations across campus.

After graduating, she started her professional career working in Higher Education Administration and Residence Life. During her time on staff, she worked directly with college and university students, providing leadership development training and coaching to campus leaders. Since then, Sharlene has begun working on her Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Biblical Studies at Campbell University.

Today, Sharlene continues to coach student leaders and professionals around the country while working on the manuscript for an upcoming book project.
